In keeping with our mission, LA n Sync will be providing technical assistance to organizations in Los Angeles County to help secure funding from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund in Governor Brown's 2015-2016 budget.  We will keep you informed of funding opportunities as well as information from the organizations who will administer the funds.  

State Seeks Input on Cap and Trade Auction Proceeds Second Investment Plan 

The State of California is holding a series of public workshops to provide input on the Draft Concept Paper for the Cap-and-Trade Auction Proceeds Second Investment Plan and Draft Funding Guidelines for Agencies Administering California Climate Investments (Greenhouse Gas Reduction Funds).  The workshops will be held throughout the state, including three locations in Southern California.  In each location, representatives from the Administration will provide an overview of their early thoughts for investment priorities and will hear public suggestions.

  • Los Angeles -- Wed., August 12, 2015 (Evening)
  • San Diego -- Thurs., August 13, 2015 (Evening)

Specific times and locations will be posted on the Air Resources Board's Auction Proceeds website on July 20th.   

Regional Forum on Cap and Trade Funding

The Southern California Association of Governments invites you to join a regional forum on competitive grant funding from cap-and-trade revenues.  This event, California Gold: Bringing Cap and Trade Dollars to Southern California, will bring together housing and transportation leaders to position Southern California for success in capturing competitive cap and trade grant funding. California Gold will look for ways to foster partnership on the Affordable Housing & Sustainable Communities program grant and explore opportunities from other cap and trade funds related to transportation, energy efficiency and natural resources.
